How to set Goals in your business
When you start your business you should write down your goals. Everyone has different goals. Some might want to make an extra $200 a month while others want to be able to replace their full time income if not more. No matter your goal you should write it down and talk to your mentor. When you have your goals down on paper they make it more real. It gives you that push to never give up.
At the beginning of the year I encourage everyone on my team to create a
DREAM BOARD. I'll go over a dream board in a later post. Having this board will give you something to look forward to.
Now once you have your goal down it is time to start making your blue print on how you are going to achieve your goals. I encourage everyone to talk to their mentor so they can help them with this outline. Knowing your compensation plan will help you understand how obtainable it is to achieve your goals.
My long term goal is to personally hit the rank AED. Hitting this rank means that I will be a director in the company. In order for me to his this rank I need to build a strong team who are all working towards their goals. This also means I need to break down my long term goals into monthly- weekly and daily goals. When doing smaller goals it will help you hit your larger goals. You can't frost a cake until you bake it. And you can't bake a cake with out ingredients. :)
Lets say your goal is to enroll 3 new members. In order for you to enroll 3 new members you need to first enroll one... right?
Don't focus on the big goal of 3. Break it down for yourself to enroll one new member THIS WEEK. That way next week you can enroll another and the following and so forth. And by months end you will have enrolled your goal.
When you set your goal as one new member a week it will be more achievable and less stressful come months end. No one wants to be up on close out day messaging everyone they should have messaged during the beginning and middle of the month. ( trust me I have done this and it is NOT fun)
So we have just now set your weekly goal of enrolling one new member. But lets break that down even more-
to daily goals.
A great daily goal should be to contact 2 people. Remember your contact list? You have your list of 100 or more people... so start contacting them! Remember those people you contacted and gave samples to last week well follow up with them! Don't forget about how we talked about how to approach people when you are out and about. Well you know what to do... call or text them. It is a proven fact that the more people you contact the better your business. And one more thing to remember if someone who you contact says NO do not under and circumstances STOP!!!!
They are not saying NO to YOU! They are simply saying no right now. I have many VIP and MP that said NO to me when I first mentioned Monat to them. Trust me when I say this... they are watching you! They will contact you later. Just put them on another list... the I'm not ready list. But just don't forget to follow up with them at a later date.
(can you tell I really love making lists?)
Now that you have finished reading this post I want you to get a pen and paper and write down your goals. First with your BIG SCARY goal and then break it down to monthly- weekly and daily goals. If you are unsure how to do this then contact your mentor. They will be able to help you with this. If you are on my team then please email or message me so we can make your blueprint. Remember everyone has different goals so your blue print might be slightly different than someone else.
If you are not on my team but thinking that this Monat gig might be for you then please email me. I would love to chat with you to show you how Monat can help you achieve your goals.
Hope you all have a great day! Now go out there! Start creating YOUR future!
